Brock K. Bakewell, MD graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Washington and Jefferson College. He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College and served his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Virginia before completing a fellowship at the University of Utah in anterior segment eye disease. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has lectured nationally and internationally on cataract surgery and related topics. Dr. Bakewell practices in Tucson, AZ where he specializes in small incision cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and treatment of corneal diseases. He is past president of the Arizona Ophthalmological Society, and has been on the ASCRS Government Relations Committee since 1999, chairing the committee since 2010.
