Call to Action: Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Committee Needs Volunteers at State Level to Help Increase eyePAC Support

Do you consider yourself to be persuasive? Do you enjoy advocating for issues you believe in? Are you a supporter of eyePAC, the non-partisan political action committee of ASCRS? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please consider joining the Committee of 52 (C52), a new—and still growing—peer-to-peer initiative designed to increase member contributions to eyePAC. As a C52 state leader, you’ll be asked to reach out to ASCRS member colleagues in your state and encourage them to join you in supporting eyePAC. ASCRS has been at the forefront of some key legislative and regulatory accomplishments, but there is much left to do—especially with a new Congress starting in January.

We need more of our domestic members to contribute to eyePAC, which in turn contributes to key members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate who show strong support for the physician community, especially the concerns of ophthalmic surgeons and their patients.

C52 members are still needed in the following states and territories. If you are interested in serving on this important committee, please contact Tami O’Brien, manager of PAC and grassroots, at tobrien@ascrs.org for more information. Thank you!
