Complimentary press registration is limited to working journalists of the general and medical press. Press registration will not be extended to management, publishing, marketing, advertising or administrative personnel, organizations that primarily produce live, audio, or audiovisual continuing education resources, or advocacy organizations, etc. Press credentials are required.
Members of the press are strongly encouraged to pre-register. Those who have not pre-registered may register onsite in the Press Room (Room 301, Washington Convention Center) during scheduled press room hours and must provide documentation of their status in the form of a business card, publication masthead, statement of credentials on letterhead, etc. Onsite registration is not guaranteed. We reserve the right to deny press passes or to require payment after the meeting for “press” subsequently determined to have registered in error.

Press Registration: For reporters who have registered in advance (those who register by Friday, March 11, 2005), press passes (with an electronic smart card) will be mailed to the address indicated in your registration letter.
For those who register on site, it will be necessary to present appropriate identification, as noted above. A registration form will need to be completed. Once approved by Press Room staff, the form can be taken to the Balance Due or Course Addition counters in the registration area to receive a pass.
Press Room Hours: Thursday, April 14, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; Saturday, April 15, through Tuesday, April 19, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The press room will provide a place to work, conduct interviews, etc. Morning coffee and afternoon soft drinks will be available. Reporters are expected to supply their own computers, cell phones and related communications equipment.
