Young Eye Surgeons (YES)

Who is a part of YES?

Every ASCRS member who belongs to any of the following categories within anterior segment surgery:

  • Resident
  • Fellow
  • First 5 years of practice

ASCRS aims to engage with young ophthalmologists in a meaningful way through content targeted directly to the young eye surgeon knowledge level, such as the YES program at the Combined Ophthalmic Symposium, the YES Advanced Cataract Training program, specific programming for young eye surgeons at the 2019 ASCRS ASOA Annual Meeting. With Webinars run by the YES Clinical Committee, Online Learning CME Modules, Peer-Reviewed Clinical Reports and more. YES Reduced Membership Fees

ASCRS greatly values the contributions from its YES members and appreciates the opportunity to help them advance their careers and hone their clinical skills. YES members who live in the U.S. and are just beginning their practice are eligible for reduced fees as shown below:

  • 1 ($100 annual dues)
  • 2 ($200 annual dues)
  • 3 ($300 annual dues)
  • 4 ($360 annual dues)
  • 5 ($420 annual dues)

ASCRS/YES Legislative Fly-In Scholarship

ASCRS YES members are encouraged to apply for the Legislative Fly-In Scholarship for the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC to learn about policy issues affecting ophthalmology and meet directly with their members of Congress. View images from the 2016 Legislative Fly-In.
