Description
Zonular dehiscence and vitreous prolapse are unwelcome complications during cataract surgery. In this video, we demonstrate the early signs of unexpected zonular dehiscence. Healon was used to tamponade the vitreous and vitrectomy to remove residual prolapsed vitreous. Successful placement of a 3-piece sulcus lens without iris suturing was achieved.
