Description
In a retrospective analysis, patients who underwent YAG laser treatment of symptomatic floaters had 1-4 years of follow-up with evaluation for incidence of adverse events. From 1272 procedures, 10 adverse events (0.8%) were recorded: 7 cases of intraocular pressure spikes, two cases of phakic lens hit and one retinal hemorrhage. This review of YAG vitreolysis for the treatment of floaters demonstrates that the procedure has a low rate of adverse effects.
