Senate Passes Phase III (Stimulus Relief) of COVID-19 Legislation Package, House to Follow on Friday; President Expected to Sign into Law
Last evening, the Senate passed H.R. 748, the “Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act,” phase 3 stimulus legislation of the Coronavirus relief packages. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will bring the legislation to the House floor on Friday morning for a voice vote, which would not require the House’s 429 sitting members to reconvene in Washington. Once passed by the House, the bill will be sent to the President for his immediate signature.
