Inducing posterior capsular opening in pediatric cataract surgeries is better done without violating the anterior vitreous face for easier posterior capsulorhexis. The video showed how the puncture of the posterior capsule could be done to avoid this violation, hence viscoelastic is injected in the Berger's space inducing a barrier in front of the anterior vitreous facilitating the capsulorhexis.
