A sophisticated mechanical eye model designed to mimic the total fluidics and compliances of the human eye gives a glimpse into the ability to uncover the mysteries of capsular behavior. Surgical experiences and video simulations illustrate the impact of vacuum, intraocular pressure, eye compliance and a handpiece with and without a built-in pressure sensor on posterior capsule dynamics.
