Refractive Day will focus on how developing your EQ (emotional intelligence) can compliment your patients’ IQ (image quality) to optimize their experience with refractive surgery. In addition to maximizing visual outcomes with new surgical techniques and technology, the ability to refine and to improve patient assessment and counseling skills—both preoperatively and postoperatively—helps to ensure that patient expectations are met and exceeded. Case-based learning, expert panel discussions, role-playing, and didactic presentations will be integrated with audience participation to help surgeons improve both EQ and IQ.
