Boston Kpro type 1 extrusion is a relatively uncommon but severe complication. Reducing patients' costs in every procedure is essential because of the high prices a keratoprosthesis can reach. This video shows how the surgeon can deconstruct the prosthesis so the same optic stem can be used with a new PMMA plate obtained from another Kpro pack.
