Treatment of epithelial ingrowth has a high risk of recurrence. We present a modified curette instrument to allow the removal of epithelial cells while minimizing the risk of recurrence and cell entrapment. This video depicts the removal of cells from beneath the LASIK flap, and the removal of cells from within the SMILE pocket, achieving good outcomes in both cases.
