Superficial keratectomy is a minor procedure used to treat anterior basement membrane dystrophy (ABMD) or salzmann nodules, or to provide a more regular corneal curvature in preparation for cataract surgery. Using original patient educational animation, we discuss preparation for superficial keratectomy, what to expect on the day of procedure, and instructions to follow postoperatively.
