Course Description
Course will cover the science and practice of toric IOL implantation, when and how toric calculations should be done and using measured posterior corneal astigmatism. We will teach the efficient use of the updated Barrett Toric Calculator and we will go “live” with the online calculator. Practical tips on reference and axis marking with different devices, toric IOL positioning/malpositioning, and complications will also be discussed.
   
Educational Objective
Plan for, calculate using the best formulae and choose the appropriate toric IOL for cataract surgery. He will be able to use 3 sets of keratometry data to derive an optimised integrated K. He will also learn to align and deal with malalignment.
