Course Description
Biometry and IOL power calculation formulas continue to evolve. This course will start with an overview of IOL power calculation formula technology and performance. We will look at how biometers may make measurement errors, and how to compensate for them. We will present a method for detecting history of laser vision correction with the biometer only. Finally, we will provide an update on IOL power calculation accuracy with the newest formulas.

Educational Objective
Learners will understand how to accurately target a refractive outcome in long and short eyes, post-refractive surgery eyes, and eyes requiring astigmatism correction. Furthermore, we will look at biometry measurement errors and how to compensate for these foibles.
