Current surgical sight disinfection is not perfect. Even if the sight is thoroughly rinsed with isodine, the field is soon contaminated with bacteria. We have developed a new concept in irrigation devices. The use of this device significantly reduced the number of bacteria detected in bacterial cultures. There was a reduction in drug-induced keratitis, which resulted in better visual acuity.
