The chopper plays an important role in nuclear segmentation along with the phaco probe. Many variations of choppers have been developed. We aim to demonstrate a specially designed triple edge wedge chopper “Trishool” used in terminal chop technique to crack and break hard mature cataract. Trishool is designed for safe, efficient and easy manoeuvring of the nucleus in the aforementioned technique.
