Cataract lens emulsification is the key step during cataract surgery. Ultrasound technology has evolved from longitudinal to torsional and now to a new ultrasound modality. This video will discuss the history of ultrasound and describe a new ultrasound technology using bead-flow pattern to visualize its four-dimensional motion as well as why it may further reduce both time and energy in the eye.
