Understanding the dynamics of the Lens Zonular Complex (LZC) is crucial for surgeons. Factors like patient age, pseudoexfoliation and cataract density contribute to LZC, making each cataract a unique challenge. Awareness of LZC dynamics during surgery allows surgeon to adjust phaco parameters and modify techniques, such as using hooks, CTR to stabilize the capsular bag and reduce complications.
