A novel DMEK delivery technique has been developed and validated at the Lions World Vision Institute, Tampa. The DMEK graft placement in the cannula and endo-in configuration enables the Descemet's membrane graft to open up spontaneously, completely and correctly oriented, through fluid transfer controlled by the surgeon and enables phakic DMEK surgery after a previous penetrating keratoplasty.
