The ASCRS Executive Committee and Leadership Committee convened earlier this month for a strategic planning meeting where, among other orders of business, discussions were had and decisions made for 2024 ASCRS Annual Meeting awards, as well as selection of the next ASCRS Secretary and other committee positions.

ASCRS Preoperative OSD Algorithm Part 1: Exploring the Algorithm
The ASCRS Cornea Committee has launched a new program, building upon the experience of the ASCRS Preoperative OSD Algorithm. Join committee members as they provide a guided educational tour of the OSD Algorithm.
The first of five tours, from the original creators of the algorithm, has been released to include examples for each step in diagnosing and treating preoperative ocular surface disease. This 45-minute program is approved for up to 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

Submit a Nomination for the Chang-Crandall Humanitarian Award
The ASCRS Foundation is accepting nominations until September 15 for the Chang-Crandall Humanitarian Award, which honors the important humanitarian work in the field of cataract blindness and disability in the U.S. and around the world.
This award recognizes the exceptional career of a humanitarian and, through the generous endowment of David and Victoria Chang, will donate $100,000 to a charitable ophthalmology organization of the honoree’s choice.
Nominations submitted in prior years remain active and under consideration for the ASCRS Nominating Committee to review and present to the ASCRS Foundation Board of Directors.
