The 2024 Annual Meeting Keynote Speakers
Each year the Annual Meeting brings in thought-provoking keynote speakers. This is the 2024 lineup!
Annie Duke, PhD: Ms. Duke is an author, speaker, and consultant with a focus in the “decision-making space.” She is a retired professional poker player, a World Series Poker champion, and PhD in cognitive psychology. She is the author of “Quit: the Power of Knowing When to Walk Away” and “Thinking in Bets,” a national bestseller. Ms. Duke will speak on the ASCRS Main Stage, Saturday, April 6, ahead of “The X Factor: Women Leading by Example” and the Cornelius D. Binkhorst, MD, Lecture, which will be delivered by Mitchell Weikert.
Charlie Cook: The founder of the Cook Political Report, Mr. Cook, is one of the nation’s leading authorities on U.S. elections and political trends. Mr. Cook will provide expert insights on how the current political atmosphere and the upcoming election will affect ophthalmologists today … and tomorrow. Catch Mr. Cook in the “Politics, the Election, Healthcare: What Lies Ahead for America” symposium, sponsored by the ASCRS Government Relations Committee, Sunday, April 7, 1:30–3:00 p.m.
Anne Grady: Attendees of the ASCRS Annual Meeting are welcome to attend the Opening General Session of the ASOA Annual Meeting, Saturday, April 6, 8:30–10:00 a.m. to hear from Anne Grady. Ms. Grady will speak on “Leading Through Uncertainty and Change.” Using the latest research in neuroscience and psychology, this session will provide a road map for developing resilient leaders, teams, and organizations.

Help Stop Medicare Physician Reimbursement Cuts
ASCRS is calling on all of its members to urge congressional leadership to eliminate the entire 3.4% cut to the 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS).
Please log on to the Physician Payment Action Alert on the ASCRS website* to contact your legislators before March 1 and ask them to stop this cut.
*Log in using the email address associated with your ASCRS account and your zip code, then complete the “Take Action” form. If you are not an ASCRS member, click “Register” to proceed.
