Join program co-chairs—Douglas Koch, MD, Sumitra Khandelwal, MD, and Daniel Chang, MD—and faculty in “Music City” for a meeting where you’ll gain pearls you can put into practice on day one, hands-on skills transfer labs (included with registration) experience, connection that only in-person events facilitate, and more!

  • ASCRS Advocacy Works for You—Stay Informed with Washington Watch Weekly

Washington Watch Weekly is an e-newsletter and ASCRS member benefit that keeps you up-to-speed on the important activities on “the Hill” and other regulatory, reimbursement, and compliance issues that affect daily ophthalmic practice.

Learn about the latest reimbursement news, government policies impacting ophthalmology, and the advocacy efforts that ASCRS Government Relations conduct on its members’ behalf.

Most recently, ASCRS and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) advocacy directly led to Aetna reversing its prior authorization policy for cataract surgery. For a year, ASCRS and AAO engaged in a targeted advocacy campaign alongside its members to call attention to this harmful policy that delayed patient care, leading to its reversal in all but two states earlier this month. ASCRS continues to fight unnecessary prior authorization policies.

Keep up with ASCRS Government Relations activity by reading Washington Watch Weekly.
