Special Speakers Bring Insightful Topics to the Annual Meeting

In addition to clinical insights and distinguished named lectures, each year the ASCRS Annual Meeting brings attendees keynote speakers who share thought-provoking topics and perspectives. Keynote speakers provide an additive professional and/or personal benefit to the anterior segment surgeon outside of the clinical education they can expect from the meeting.

Here are the ASCRS 2023 keynote speakers appearing:

  • Dan Lerner: a positive psychologist and instructor of NYU’s ‘The Science of Happiness.’ See him present Saturday, May 6, 10–11:30 a.m.
  • Mark McKinnon: political advisor, reform advocate, media columnist, television producer, and creator, executive producer, and co-host of Showtime’s real-time political documentary series The Circus. See him present during the Government Relations Symposium Saturday, May 6, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
  • Shawn DuBravac: an economist and futurist. See him present Sunday, May 7, 10:30–11:30 a.m.
  • Bonus: Attendees of ASCRS Subspecialty Day, Friday, May 5, also have access to Digital Day, sponsored by the Digital Ophthalmic Society. Digital Day will host keynote speaker David Rhew, MD, Global Chief Medical Officer, VP Healthcare, Commercial at Microsoft.
