In the absence of capsular bag support, scleral fixation of IOL seems to be a good solution. In this technique, a silicone sleeve is used to make a 5-0 prolene suture attached to the IOL haptic. Compared with other sutureless techniques, this technique facilitates scleral fixation operationally. It also makes the operation less dependent on IOL haptic material, needle type and size of the cornea.
