Children with ocular diseases have better outcomes with treatment before the age of 5. In Caribbean countries like Suriname, 99% of children are vaccinated by age 6 but have never received vision screening. The goal of this video is to describe the integration of early vision screening with the already successful vaccination infrastructure and address preventable childhood blindness.
