Vitreoretinal complications after Boston keratoprosthesis type 1 (KPro) lead to severe visual loss. We found that endoscopy-assisted complete pars plana vitrectomy performed at the time of KPro implantation, without a temporary KPro, facilitates anterior hyaloid peeling. This novel technique may shorten operative time, allow for rare intraocular evaluation, and reduce glaucoma progression.
