Video shows the novel in-office technique of primary pterygium excision using cryopreserved amniotic membrane (AM). Topical proparacaine and intralesional 1% lidocaine is injected followed by blunt dissection to sclera. AM is glued into place, sutured with 8-0 vicryl, and BCL applied. Such technique is feasible for excision of small (<2.0mm), primary pterygium with patients not on blood thinners.
