Breaking hard cataracts radially causes stress on capsule and zonules. Separated pieces are emulsified out of capsule, near corneal endothelium. An alternative technique is presented where the core of endonuleus is exposed, separated and emulsified in situ. This allows outer nucleus to be divided and emulsified within the space created by removal of endonucleus.
