Centralize, tilt and chop technique is a rotation-independent technique of disassembly of the remaining hemi-nucleus. It can be employed in routine cases, and thus eliminates the need to rotate pieces 180 degrees across. It can also be employed in complex cases where rotation is not advised or not possible, as in the case of loose zonules, posterior polar cataracts and anterior capsular tears.
