This webinar allows attendees to explore the small lenticule extraction (SMILE) procedure in depth, including patient selection, considerations and limitations using case presentations. Comparisons to other refractive procedures are also explored.

John Cason, MD
John Cason is a fellowship-trained specialist in cornea, ocular surface disease, and refractive surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. After completion of his undergraduate studies at Emory University, he matriculated to the George Washington University Medical School where he acquired his medical doctorate. He completed his internal medicine internship at the Navy Medical Center, Portsmouth and his ophthalmology residency at the Navy Medical Center, San Diego. 
Mitchell Weikert, MD
Mitchell P. Weikert, M.D., M.S. is an Associate Professor at the Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He completed his fellowship in cornea, external disease, cataract and refractive surgery at the John. A. Moran Eye Center.
John F. Doane, MD
Dr. John F. Doane is a board-certified ophthalmologist and renowned LASIK surgeon in Kansas City, serving as the leader of Discover Vision's Refractive Team. He specializes in gentle no-stitch cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and refractive surgery, including LASIK Laser Vision Correction, SMILE Vision Correction, and Full Focus Vision.
Ronald Krueger, MD
An internationally recognized eye surgeon from one of the top eye institutes in the country, Ronald Krueger, MD is the McGaw Professor and Chair of the UNMC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and director of the Stanley M. Truhlsen Eye Institute, whose clinical programs are part of Nebraska Medicine.
