Polypropylene sutures have greatly helped anterior segment surgeons in the management of complex, challenging cases such as iridodyalisis repair. scleral SFIOL and also in fixating the CTS. But the main challenging aspect of these procedures is that, it involves a large learning curve and a high level of expertise. Flanging this suture has made these complex scenarios much easier and quicker.
