Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) implantation has been used to correct high myopia, early cataract development commonly occurs due to interlenticular frictions. In addition, long term friction can potentially create anterior capsule instability and anterior capsule fibrosis, resulting in difficult manual capsulorhexis. FLACS can help reduce the risk and create a safe capsulorhexis through the ICL.
