Patient with aphakia, aniridia & high astigmatism secondary to traumatic penetration of the OD globe due to blunt trauma. We modified the “Backpack” artificial iris implantation surgical technique, by assembling an AI implant-toric-IOL complex, unique marking of the toric-IOL axis and Intra-scleral flange fixation of the AI implant-toric-IOL complex, to allow for a toric-intraocular lens fixation.
