Descemet membrane detachment (DMD) is a serious complication of cataract surgery. Most common cause of DMD is improper use of surgical instruments and unintentional injury to cornea that is completely preventable. This video will demonstrate situations that puts a novice surgeon at risk of injuring DM. It will provide concise learning points to prevent DMD and ways to manage this complication.
