EMMETROPIA MASTERS (EyeSeek) GAME RULES
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.
- Eligibility: This Campaign is open only to individuals who register for and attend the ASCRS Annual Meeting and who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. The Campaign is void where prohibited by law. Employees of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), Inc., its affiliates, vendors, exhibitors, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers (collectively, the “Employees”), as well as immediate family members and those living in the same household as Employees, are not eligible to participate. The Campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
- Agreement to Rules: By participating, the contestant (“You”) agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules and represents and warrants that You meet all eligibility requirements. You further agree that all decisions of ASCRS related to this Campaign are final and binding.
- Campaign Period: Entries will be accepted online starting at 12:00 PM ET on Friday, April 10, 2026, and ending at 12:00 PM ET on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Participants may not score points after 12:00 PM ET on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
- How to Enter: The Campaign must be entered by registering for and attending the ASCRS Annual Meeting and scanning designated QR codes to earn points. Entries must meet all Campaign requirements to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at ASCRS’s sole discretion. Each valid Annual Meeting registrant may enter only once. You must provide all requested information and may not enter multiple times through the use of different email addresses, identities, or devices. Fraudulent methods of entry or attempts to circumvent the rules may result in disqualification at ASCRS’s sole discretion.
- Prizes: The Winner(s) (“Winner”) may receive Masters themed prizes, hotel redemption points, or complimentary registration to a future ASCRS Annual Meeting. Actual or appraised prize value may differ at the time of award. Prize specifics are determined solely by ASCRS. No cash or other substitution is permitted except at ASCRS’s discretion. Prizes are non transferable. All prize related expenses, including federal, state, and local taxes, are the responsibility of the Winner. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for ASCRS to use the Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.
- Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- Winner Selection and Notification: At the end of the game, ASCRS will randomly select Winners from among the entrants who have accumulated the most points. Winners will be selected under ASCRS’s supervision and announced during a prize drawing in the ASCRS Tap Room, located in Hall A of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, at 1:00 PM ET. Winners must be present to claim their prizes. ASCRS is not responsible for any Winner’s failure to receive notifications due to spam filters, incorrect contact information, or other issues. If a Winner cannot be contacted or is ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Winner. Receipt of a prize is conditioned on compliance with all applicable laws. Any violation of these Official Rules by a Winner may result in disqualification at ASCRS’s sole discretion.
- Rights Granted by You: By entering, You grant ASCRS and its designees the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use your entry, name, image, likeness, voice, statements, and biographical information in any media now known or later developed, worldwide and in perpetuity, for news, promotional, advertising, and public relations purposes without additional compensation, notice, or approval.
- Terms & Conditions: ASCRS reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Campaign if a virus, bug, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or other cause outside its control affects the fairness or proper conduct of the Campaign. In such circumstances, ASCRS may select Winners from eligible entries received before or after the action. ASCRS also reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or violates these Terms & Conditions. Any attempt to damage a website or undermine the Campaign may violate criminal and civil laws, and ASCRS reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless ASCRS and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, agents, employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any liability, injury, illness, death, loss, claim, or damage arising from:
(i) participation in the Campaign or acceptance/use of any prize;
(ii) technical malfunctions of any kind;
(iii) unavailability of any telephone or internet service;
(iv) unauthorized human intervention;
(v) errors in the administration or processing of entries. - Disputes: This Campaign is governed by U.S. law and the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles. As a condition of participating, You agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved and any causes of action arising out of or related to the Campaign shall be resolved individually, without class action, exclusively before a court located in Massachusetts with appropriate jurisdiction. Under no circumstances may a participant recover punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees, and all rights to have damages multiplied are waived.
