3D surgical visualization systems are a new tool for learning and performing ophthalmic surgery. Anterior segment surgery may benefit from 3D systems as well as retinal surgery. This film demonstrates what we believe is the first 3D-assisted double-needle flanged haptic procedure for IOL fixation to the sclera (Yamane technique). Potential future uses of this technology will be discussed.
