Description
Suture breakage of fixated IOL with 10-0 Prolene reported to happen in up to 28% of cases in the long-term period (mean 7.0 years after the surgery). Based on recent concerns about the durability of the suture, there has beenincreasing use of Gore-Tex or 9-0 Prolene, howeverno studies define it`s durability of the latter. We report a case of suture breakage of 9-0 Prolene from chronic intraocular destruction caused by the eyelet of the modified CTR.
