Description
Iris hooks are commonly used for mechanical pupil dilation. Although many modern alternatives are available, iris hooks offer a cost effective and practical option. This video will show the correct insertion techniques and the resulting complications from incorrect insertion techniques. Complications such as catastrophic chemosis, anterior capsular tears and iris sphincter damage are reviewed.
