We describe an efficient new device “Terminator” the wedge tool to crack and break mature hard cataracts. It functions by converting a force applied to its blunt end into forces perpendicular to its inclined surfaces. Terminator when pushed or driven into a solid hard cataract, generates inside out dispersive mechanical force and causes them to crack and split in tension.
