This video demonstrates various options for management of hard cataracts and highlights the utility of the miLoop device - a nitinol filament loop which enables complete transection of brunescent cataracts, thus facilitating safe phacoemulsification. This reduces the total phaco energy used, potentially reducing endothelial cell loss, resulting in clearer corneas on the first post-operative day.
