Hydro-flourescein technique was incorporated in the standardized pterygium excision with conjunctival graft utilizing fibrin glue surgery. Subtenon space and tissue was hydrated in 93 eyes during the surgery and stained tissues were removed. The tenon tissue from harvested graft were also identified using similar technique before they were detached from the graft. None of the 93 eyes developed recurrent pterygium after one year.
