This presentation covers the development of intraocular lens (IOL) calculations for cataract surgery. It discusses the advantages and disadvantages of certain formulas, and it highlights some of the particular challenges associated with long, short, astigmatic and post-refractive eyes. Current and future solutions to these challenges are reviewed briefly.
