Video presentations and panel discussions will highlight situations where the surgeon strategically aborted or deferred an intervention intraoperatively in order to achieve better outcomes. Cases include intraoperative hard eye, PC tear, nucleus drop, subluxated cataract, refractive surgery complications and glaucoma surgical situations. Attendees will learn to constantly weigh merits of intervention to deferment intraoperatively and that restraint and revisiting is a useful option in certain situations.
