Course will provide a detailed description of the management of diabetic macular edema (DME) that is tailored specifically for the comprehensive ophthalmologist. This course provides the comprehensive ophthalmologist with a solid understanding of the pathophysiology of DME followed by an evidence-based treatment algorithm that can be used to properly manage most patients with DME. Safe and effective treatment techniques for laser photocoagulation, and intravitreal anti-VEGFs and corticosteroids will be detailed.
