The International Intra-Ocular Implant Club (IIIC) was founded in 1966 by Sir Harold Ridley, the inventor of the IOL, and is an invitational society devoted to the art and the science of intraocular lens implantation. The IIIC symposium will focus on global issues of lens based surgery including management of complications, new technology, and advanced techniques to improve surgical outcomes. The expertise of international leaders in cataract surgery will be highlighted in a case based program featuring video presentations and will be discussed by a panel of thought leaders in the field of lens based surgery.

Eric D. Donnenfeld, MD, FAAO
Eric Donnenfeld, MD, FAAO, is an internationally recognized authority in the field of refractive, corneal and laser cataract surgery. Throughout his more than 20-year career as a Long Island LASIK surgeon, Dr. Donnenfeld has successfully performed tens of thousands of laser eye vision correction procedures.
Stephen G. Slade, MD, FACS
Stephen Slade, M.D., a specialist in Presbyopia correction, cataract surgery, LASIK, Implantable Contact Lenses, and refractive surgery, is a Houston native whose private practice is in Houston, Texas. He attended Tulane University and the University of Texas Medical School with a final, elective year spent at Guy’s Hospital, London, graduating summa cum laude, with highest honors.

Graham D. Barrett, FRANZCO
Dr Barrett trained in ophthalmology in Perth, Western Australia, and undertook specialty training in the USA. He is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon and Head of Department at Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital. Professor Barrett is founding and current president of the Australasian Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons and president of the Asia Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. 
Roberto Zaldívar Sr., MD
Roberto Zaldivar is an Argentine doctor who is one of the foremost ophthalmologists and refracting surgeons in the world. He is credited for several breakthroughs in the use of lasers to correct visual impairments. His latest breakthrough is a new technique called bioptics, a term he introduced. He practices medicine out of his own Instituto Zaldivar, located in the Argentine city of Mendoza.
Michael C. Knorz, MD
Michael C. Knorz, MD began his clinical career as Senior Physician at the University Eye Clinic Mannheim. In 1993, Professor Michael Knorz introduced the LASIK procedure in Germany and established the first German LASIK center at the University Eye Clinic Mannheim which in 1999 was converted into the FreeVis LASIK Center Mannheim. As of today, Michael Knorz is the medical director of this FreeVis LASIK Center as well as the founder and CEO of the FreeVis LASIK Group.
Abhay R. Vasavada, MS, FRCS
Dr. Abhay Vasavada is the Research Director for the Iladevi Cataract & IOL Research Centre and the Clinical Director and Principal Trainer for the Phacoemulsification Program: National and International of the Raghudeep Eye Clinic in India. 
John A. Vukich, MD
Dr. John Vukich is an associate clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison Department of Ophthalmology and practices at Davis Duehr Dean in Madison, Wisconsin. He has served as principal investigator on 16 phase III clinical device trials and has served on the regulatory team for several novel ophthalmic devices leading to FDA approval. Dr. Vukich currently is the Director of the Refractive Surgery Service at Dean Clinic.
