Laser PRK (PhotoRefractive Keratectomy) can be applied in post Radial Keratotomy eyes without cutting (destabilization of already weak cornea) or flap making (horizontal disruption of vertical cuts) and can shape the cornea (hyperopia/myopia/astigmatism) while additionally allowing the returning epithelium to smoothen and compact this unstable and uneven corneal surface like a new carpet on broken tiles.
