We designed a novel, customised, toric mega implantable phakic contact lens which we implanted in a 6-year-old boy with buphthalmos having unilateral high myopia with significant astigmatism. The child showed an optimal visual outcome following amblyopia therapy. This newly designed mega implantable phakic contact lens may prove to be a viable option in buphthalmic eyes with high myopia.
