A severe corneal burn occurred during a phaco procedure, uneventfully completed with corneal section suturing. A postop leak persisted despite multiple resuturing attempts, cyanoacrylate glue and BCL use. At 5 weeks a corneal wedge graft was successfully used to fill the gaping section secondary to tissue burn. The disabling postop 3.5D astigmatism was eliminated with LASIK, resulting in excellent topographic and refractive outcome.
