Description
This video addresses the patient’s anxiety during cataract surgery. We performed a pilot study of music therapy, a randomized trial regarding the efficacy of intravenous midazolam and assessed the role of mediclowns. We found that all these methods were efficient in reducing the patient’s anxiety thereby achieving a good intraoperative cooperation for greater safety and a better visual outcome.
